Bowling for a Cure

The City of Greenwood is partnering with the American Cancer Society in a fun, family-oriented, fund-raising event, "Bowling for a Cure." On Friday evening, May 7th, the Greenwood City Building and the Emerson Avenue "Cancer Busters" are hoping that you and your family can join in this exciting event as a prelude to the upcoming Relay for Life to be held this summer.

Relay for Life is the most successful fundraising event in the nation and is the signature event for the American Cancer Society.  This summer's Relay for Life will be held at the Greenwood Middle School track, June 19th and 20th.

Bowling for a Cure will be held at Southern Bowl bowling alley located on south US 31.  Participation cost for the event is $10 per person which includes three games of bowling plus shoes.  A portion of all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

Door prizes and drawings, good times and family fun all await at this charitable event.  For additional information please contact Arnie Kaptain at 887-5232 or Mark Richards at 887-5230.
