Bowlers take their best shots at New Year's resolutions

With the year nearly up, it's time to ask bowlers about their New Year's bowling resolutions.

The following resolutions -- generally right to the point -- come from players who were taking part in Wednesday's "Super Stars" league action at Corbin Bowl in Tarzana.

Deanna Peters (shown in photo): "Shoot bigger games."

Bill Plummer: "Leave less and pick up more seven pins."

Siena Cawelti: "Get my 250. It killed me to be so close (245)."

Tim Wiese: "To be able to adjust to dry-lane conditions."

Chris Ohmstede: "I wish I could come up with something clever, but I just want to make my spares."

Scott Tschappat: "My record is 14 strikes in a row and I'd like to get 15 in a row and 12 in one game."

Troy Gibson: "Have more fun and don't be so serious."

Rick Auerbach: "Try to figure Corbin out."

Carol Tucker: "Relax and follow through."

Justin Obacz: "I'd like to bowl consistently."

Kelly Gold: "Need an 800."

Alfonso Alvarez: "Throw good balls more often."

Michael Pollack: "Don't screw up and bowl more tournaments."

We'll check back in a year and see if those bowlers followed through on their resolutions.
