Pensacola, Fla. – Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Bowl for Kids’ Sake event will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at New Liberty Lanes, 3200 N. Palafox Street. Teams consisting of four to six bowlers may choose from the following bowling times: 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Individuals are encouraged to invite family and friends to help make this fund-raising event a FUN-raising event.
All individuals need to set a goal to raise a minimum of $100 each. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida’s goal is to raise $70,000 at this year’s event. All funds stay in Northwest Florida and go directly toward matching children with a caring, supportive and carefully screened Big Brother or Big Sister volunteer.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida has been the area’s leader in one-to-one youth service for over 25 years by providing caring, adult mentors to children ages six to 18. Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Research has found that after spending time with their BIG, the LITTLE was 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs, 52% less likely to skip school, and 27% more likely to receive a four-year college degree. In 2013, Big Brothers Big Sisters served 562 children in Northwest Florida.
