City Harvest (www.cityharvest.org) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit that is having its first ever Bow Ties & Burgers fundraiser. This fun event will be on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at Center 548 West 22nd Street and will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Now City Harvest serves over 1.6 million New Yorkers who live in poverty, struggling to afford such basic necessities as rent and medical care while at the same time trying to put food on their table. As more and more people are affected by recession and unemployment, the need for emergency food has dramatically increased.
City Harvest has always been the New York City's community's response to hunger. City Harvest helps link the food industry with countless numbers of organization, foundations and individual citizens to help feed those hungry New Yorkers in need.
Now attire for this event is to be formal and fabulous and the event is being co-chaired by Pocja Kapoor, Alissa Dicker Schrieber, Olivia Wolfe, Meghan Young and Dana Zukofsky.
