New Orleans Bartender Examiner, Marigny deMauriac, gives us three things we need and want to know for Bourbon Heritage Month:
1. A bourbon recipe favorite of New Orleans residents (Bourbon Milk Punch)
2. The photo to lure us in – take a look at the beautiful design her garnish made!
3. And…where to go in New Orleans to get this delicious treat
National Waffle Week and Bourbon Heritage Month collide. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Kansas City Cocktails Examiner, Angie Rayfield, whipped up the
Bourbon Raspberry Waffle using
Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Take a look at the photo with adorable (and delectable!) waffle garnish. Who says bourbon isn’t for breakfast?! Be sure to take a look at Angie’s
Classic Cocktail’s listing for more delicious recipes.
Looking for food recipes to go with your fabulous bourbon cocktail? San Antonio Healthy Food Examiner, Jennifer Rangel, scored a ‘great recipe’ from a friend.
Drunken Mango Pulled Pork is self explanatory enough, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Go have a look for yourself. Jennifer did her homework and includes the nutritional information of calories, fat grams, carbohydrates and protein. Check out Angie’s
Healthy Finds articles for more nutritious food and information.
Bourbon Heritage Month stirs the imagination when it comes to recipes whether we talk food or cocktails.
Bulleit Bourbon has created a few recipes that veer to the
non-traditional side of cocktail creation where bourbon is concerned by whipping up drinks such as a bourbon colada and one using pistachios. Bulleit also does a double take on the
classic Manhattan, takes a cruise with oranges and causes a lady to blush with the Southern Belle.
