Bounty hunter kills family dog

According to Friday's KOCO News, Melvin Marshall, a bounty hunter, went to a Midwest City, Okla., home in search of a suspect, and wound up killing a family dog.

While Marshall was at the house, located near Northeast 10th Street and Midwest Boulevard, he encountered the suspect's dog, a Labrador retriever.

Marshall claims that the dog charged him, and in return, he fired his gun and killed the dog.

Court documents reveal that the dog's owner was distraught over the killing, the state that the man was,"yelling, cursing and questioning why."

There were two bounty hunters present that day and after the dog was shot, one of the men hit the dog's owner in the chest with a Taser.

The man the bounty hunters were tracking down was taken in to police custody and one of the bounty hunters was charged with assault and battery.
