Bounce the Dalmation at ACCAC Proves You Don't Need a Breeder

One of the biggest excuses for not adopting a rescue dog is, "I can't find the specific breed I want." But Bounce, a purebred Dalmatian at Athens-Clarke County Animal Control, is proof that you can find even the rarest of breeds in a shelter or rescue.

Bounce is a one year old, 47-pound handsome boy. He is active and playful, which is typical for the Dalmatian breed. Hopefully, there is a worried owner out there searching for him; but if that is not the case, an adopter or rescue will definitely want Bounce.

There are several options if you are looking for a specific breed of dog and would prefer to adopt and not shop. Shelters and pet rescues have all manner of dogs. There are also breed-specific rescues, such as the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta.

In a society of instant gratification, it can be difficult to take the time to search and wait for the perfect dog for you; however, this is an important element in adding a dog to your family.
