Hopefully the weather in April will cooperate more than fickle March cold and warm cycles. There are some great local races this month, so whether or not you are ready to get some pay off for that New Year's resolution or getting in some good tune up race for the BolderBoulder in May.

The Thunderchief 5k will be run through the campus of CU and benefits the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Canine Classic is a dog-friendly run/walk for participants of all ages held out at the Boulder Reservoir.

Frank Shorter's RACE4Kids 5k features a new fast course which finishes inside the 1STBANK Center where you can see yourself on the Jumbotron. Kids also have the opportunity to meet Olympic Gold Medalist Frank Shorter.
8 a.m at the Broomfield Event Center
The Dash 'n Dine Series is a family friendly race series with a great post-race dinner party. If you volunteer to work a race, you get your next race free. The series has three races in April, and three more in May. They are great tune up races for the BolderBoulder on Memorial Day.
Races will be held on Tuesday nights April 8, 15 and 22 at the Boulder Reservoir at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday April 26
Boulder Distance Classic 15k and 5k This classic race boasts two distances and should prove to be competitive in both events as there is prize money for both events.

Spring Trail Running Camp
May 8-11 in Estes Park, CO
Join Active at Altitude and Nancy Hobbs for a weekend of inspired trail running. Hosted in Estes Park, CO you will be inspired by amazing trails, magnificent scenery, clean air and the snow capped Rockies. The camp is for all who want to learn more about trail running, either as an established trail runner, or as someone who has just started and would like to know more about progressing in the sport.
Mondays: 6pm Fleet Feet Sports Boulder
Wednesdays: 5:30pm at Runners Roost Louisville or 6pm at the Boulder Running Company
Saturdays - 8am Runners Roost Louisville, Breakfast Running Club, Boulder Track Club at Rally Sport (every 2nd Saturday)
Also on Saturdays, join the folks at Newton Running for their Natural Running Form Clinic at 10am
Sundays: 9am Boulder Road Runners
A new running 'event' will be kicking off in Boulder this April. bRUNch Running is a unique opportunity to enjoy a non competitive run through town and trails then finish up with a delicious meal at some of Boulder's wonderful local restaurants. The first event will be on the 27th of April at the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse
