This Sunday, February 14th from 2-4 pm, Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery (1421 Pearl Street Mall, Boulder) will be welcoming two local artists, Mary Magdalena and Diana Tripp, with a reception, and you are invited!
Through March 29th, you will be able to see Mary Magdalena's work. Mary Magdalena is an oil painter from Hygiene, CO. Magdalena is fascinated with the beauty of nature, the expansive skies and long vistas of Colorado. Magdalena explained, “My life is about creative expression…I see color, texture, line and form in everything…especially the landscapes that surround our lives! I love to express myself through oil painting.”
Diana Tripp, a pastel artist from Boulder, CO, will be featured through March 21st. Tripp's art career began unexpectedly. Despite a background in Psychology, Social work, Special Education, Spiritual Counseling & Alternative Healing, she was drawn to take a workshop on opening one’s creativity. Once introduced to pastels, she knew that was her medium. Tripp says, “Whether creating a landscape, a still life of a floral image, my love for Mother Nature & Her endless gifts can shine through & speak their own magic.”
