Forecast discussion: After a cold front came through Boston Sunday afternoon, it left us with about four tenths of an inch of precipitation. By noon, the sun broke through the clouds, as high pressure ridging began to build over the region.
This high pressure system will not be going anywhere for the next several days. Temperatures will be moderating from the middle 60’s to the lower 70’s by Saturday. The next chance for any precipitation will not be until next Sunday evening. A weak cold front will pass through the area, giving us the chance for some showers before midnight Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the tropics are quiet at the moment. There are no named tropical systems, and there are no areas of interest being watched by the National Hurricane Center.
