Forecast discussion: A weak high pressure ridge brought sunshine through the mid-morning on Monday to Boston, before increasing clouds came through the rest of the day. We will be seeing cloudy skies by midnight, as a cold front moves east. Ahead of this front is a round of showers and light rain. It should arrive by about 5 a.m., and will see rainfall throughout the day. The showers will move offshore by tomorrow night.

A weak high pressure ridge will bring more clouds than sunshine on Wednesday. The computer models continue to suggest a low pressure system will form offshore of New Jersey. This low will bring the chance for some snow showers Thursday night. We will not see much snowfall, as the system moves quickly offshore and towards the northeast Friday. By Friday night, an Arctic front will help bring colder air back over New England. We will lose the milder conditions, as daytime highs on Saturday only reach the middle to upper 30’s.

The good news is we will see a dry weekend, as some of us will have next Monday off. But, temperatures will actually be below normal for this time of the year, with highs around freezing, and lows in the middle to upper teens.
