ALLSTON, MA - Before there was craft beer, Marc Kadish, owner of Sunset Grill & Tap, was ahead of the curve, serving up the best brews from around the globe.
Kadish remains the patron ("Boss"). His ability to stay on top of the new and the hot continues as he opens Patron's Mexican Kitchen & Watering Hole, offering an extensive selection of Mescal (made from the pina of the maquey plant) along with a variety of imported tequila options.
Beer continues to play a big role with 50 taps of craft offerings and a new, state of the art cleaning system to insure that every sudsy beer is served at the peak of freshness.
Located in the former Big City pizzeria and pool hall upstairs from Sunset Grill & Tap, the new restaurant offers 360 seats plus 40 more at the bar, two fireplaces (insuring a cozy setting for sipping) and multiple flat screen tvs, leather mini couches and room for private parties. Four pool tables remain re-felted and ready for play, and new foosball tables are available too.
The heart of Patron's is the extensive menu of Cocina Mexicana-inspired specialties including a $ tapas menu of Roasted Chicken & Corn Aztec Empanadas, Mexicali Popcorn Shrimp, Fresh Mashed Guacamole and Hellfire Wings. Or pick entrees such as Chili, Tacos, Burritos, Enchiladas, Quesadillas and Fajitas. Beef, Chicken, Pork and Seafood dishes, Chicken Mole, Rellenos Carnitas and Pescado Mexican Stew. There’s also a Cerveza beer Steamed Gringo Burger, Beer B-Q Pulled Pork Carnitas and Fajita Steak Melt.
