Boston Music supports the Boston Marathon 2014

The 2014 Boston Marathon weekend is underway. Today, Saturday, April 19, from 9:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m. runners will start picking up their numbers at the John B. Hynes convention center in Boston.

Throughout the day and weekend the Boston Athletic Association will have road races including the 2014 B.A.A. invitational mile which features the top high school athletes from around the state representing the eight host cities and towns of the Boston Marathon. The race begins at 11:45 a.m. at Copley Square.

At 1:30 p.m. today, twenty Middle Schools will participate in the B.A.A. Relay Challenge for the eighteenth consecutive year.

On Sunday, April 20, you will still have the opportunity to pick up your numbers starting at 9:00 a.m. at the John B. Hynes convention center, 900 Boylston Street, Boston.

There is a pre-race pasta party at 4:30 p.m., compliments of the B.A.A. which will take place at City Hall Plaza. It's a great time to mingle and get to know your fellow runners from around the world.

Marathon Monday starts at 8:50 a.m. in Hopkinton. The mobility impaired begin at at 8:50 a.m. and then the push rim wheelchair begin at 9:17 a.m., hand cycle at 9:22 a.m., elite women's race at 9:32 a.m. elite men's at 10:00 a.m.m, wave two at 10:25 a.m., wave three at 11:00 a.m. and wave four at 11:25 a.m.

The official post race party begins at 6:30 p.m. at the House of Blues, 15 Lansdowne Street, Boston across from Fenway Park. The festivities begin at Fenway Park at 6:30 p.m. and then at HOB at 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
