House of Blues, 15 Lansdowne Street, Boston has Texas country singer and song writer, Pat Green on Friday night, April 18, 2014. In 1998, Green caught the attention of Willie Nelson when he appeared at the Willie Nelson July 4th picnic and to date has co-written songs with Nelson, Brad Paisley and Jewel among others. He's appeared on Austin City Limits, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show With David Letterman and toured with Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and the Dave Matthews Band. If you are a Stevie Nicks fan then head over to Harry's Westgate Pub, 59 Westgate Drive, Brockton (508)583-1297 on Friday, April 18, 2014. Mardi and The Astral Seekers perform their Stevie Nicks set and are opening for Zeppelin ZONE at Harry's. The band includes; Adam Helmer on Bass, John Iacona on Drums, Jesse Bousquet on Electric guitar and Tyler Brown on Piano.

The Juke Joint 5 are at the Back Page, 15 Kearney Square, Lowell (978)455-4418 on Friday, April 18, 2014. This band has a bluesy, soulful sound that's a mix of country and R & B. The band is signed with Black Rose Records and have a recent CD entitled, "Rock This House." Gretchen Bostrom is on vocals, John Bunzell on bass, Dick 'The Poet' Lourie on sax, Silverstone Steve on guitar and Noah Teshu on drums.

The Hofbrau, 400 Sea Street, Quincy has the Soul Box Band on Friday night. This band covers R & B, blues, rock and roll and also plays some original tunes. George Howard on vocals, Gregg Miller on guitar, Paul Chase on bass, Rob Megna on drums and Matt Smith on keyboards.

If you miss Soul Box at the Hofbrau on Friday, you can catch them at The Royal Garden, 3 Tremont Street, Kinsgton on Saturday night.

Saturday, April 19, 2014 it's the Fall River Rock Festival with an evening of amazing musicians and bands! TESTER, Centerlink, Love & Opium, Weld Square, newly added, Space Pony, and American Idol Contestant Erika Van Pelt will light up the stage. On Saturday at Johnny D's Uptown Restaurant and Music Club, 17 Holland Street, Somerville, it's The Fat City Band. The band is a six piece New Orleans style R & B with a thirty year legacy. They've played with some of the greatest musicians of all time including James Brown, BB King and Ray Charles. The band consists of Paul Redmond on vocals and harmonica, John Litwin on drums, Mark Anderson on guitar and background vocals, Joe Baglione on bass and background vocals, Tucker Antell on tenor sax, Clayton DeWalt on slide trombone and Shane Wood on keyboards and background vocals. Put on your dancing shoes!

Also on Saturday, classic rock band, Pitch Black will be at Daddy's Beach Club, 280 Nantasket Ave, Hull (781)925-3600. Pitchblack is a trio that covers classic rock and blues. Members are Scott Purslow on drums/ vocals, Mark Silva on guitar/vocals and Paul Sylvia on bass/vocals.

Duke's Pub and Grill, 147 Frost Road, Tynsboro (978)226-5167 has the Shakedown Band on Saturday. If you want to rock out to Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Journey and more, then go an see the Shakedown Band. The band is Kevin Cormier on drums/vocals, Jim Martines on bass/vocals, Jason Grochmal on guitar/back up vocals and Kevin Kentley on guitar.

DJ Art Beatz is at the Tunnel, 100 Stuart Street in Boston on Saturday night.
