Make it a day out with the kids at Boston Conservatory for free over Columbus Day weekend!
For the second year in a row, The Boston Conservatory will introduce opera in a fun and educational way with the children’s comical opera, ‘Mooch the Messy.’ Geared toward preschool and elementary school-aged kids, ‘Mooch the Messy’ is based on a children’s book by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat.
Set in Boston, ‘Mooch the Messy’ is a wonderful musical story about what happens when Mooch the rat prepares for his father to visit him. Not only is it a lot of fun for children, but it teaches them valuable life lessons. See a clip of the show here.
The Boston Conservatory is offering four free chances to see ‘Mooch the Messy’ over Columbus Day weekend. ‘Mooch the Messy’ will be presented on Saturday, October 12 at revitalized Seully Hall at the Boston Conservatory, 8 The Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts at noon and 2 p.m. Then, ‘Mooch the Messy’ will make his way to Boston Children’s Museum, 308 Congress Street in Boston, Massachusetts on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14 at 11 a.m. An encore presentation will also take place at 2 p.m. At the Boston Children’s Museum, ‘Mooch the Messy’ is free with museum admission.
