Boston Children's Museum to host WGBH 'Family Fun' day

WGBH members will get free admission to the Boston Children’s Museum on Saturday, May 22nd as part of the WGBH Family Fun celebration.

The museum, which is currently hosting the exhibit ‘Curious George: Let's Get Curious,’ will give WGBH members complimentary admission with a coupon that can be downloaded on the WGBH web site. Members can bring it to the museum on the 22nd, along with their ‘GBH member card, and receive free admission for one adult and one child. The event runs from 10am until 3pm.

The Curious George exhibit in the museum’s Global Gallery is based on the WGBH-produced kid's show "Curious George." It allows visitors to explore the world of Curious George while also learning about science, math, and engineering. According to the museum’s description: “Based on the classic stories by H.A. and Margret Rey, the Curious George: Let's Get Curious! exhibit inspires young children's natural curiosity as they explore early science, math, and engineering through hands-on interactive play. The exhibit takes place in the neighborhood where Curious George lives with his friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat. Visitors will recognize familiar characters and places featured in the classic stories and the television series.”

The Boston Children’s Museum, located on Children’s Wharf at 308 Congress Street in Boston, also features an exhibit based on the WGBH-produced show “Peep and the Big Wide World.”
