BCAE is proud to present their second annual writing symposium on Saturday, January 26 at 9 a.m. The full day workshop will end at 4 p.m. The workshop is taught by professional Boston writers in the entertainment, travel, lifestyle, business, fashion, and the culinary industry, including a special guest appearance by John Mariani of Esquire Magazine. Students will also have an opportunity to get their work published!

Thinking about buying a home? Make plans to attend ‘Behind the Scenes: Secrets of Boston Real Estate’ on Monday, February 25 at 6 p.m. This one-night class will be taught by Andrew Friedland, a Northwestern graduate, investor, property manager, and realtor in the Back Bay area. He will offer helpful tips on the Boston market to build confidence and get through what can be a frightening process! Andrew Friedland also teaches ‘Ready, Set, Sell,’ a one night class dedicated to the preparation and the process of selling a home on Monday, January 28 at 6 p.m. ‘Ready, Set, Sell’ gives students valuable information to obtain the best possible offer in selling a home.

Ever feel inspired to write music, but not sure how to go about it? BCAE proudly presents a Songwriting Workshop, taught by Berklee College of Music graduate Erin Quinlan. A music director for her church with a background in songwriting for stage productions, Erin will teach students the step-by-step process on the creation of a song. Students will learn about melody, harmony, and how to put the entire piece together in class. The final class will be dedicated to sharing the finished product, if students prefer. The Songwriting Workshop is a five session course on Thursdays starting January 31 with the final class on February 28.
