After five sleepless years in Syracuse, NY, Anne Davis returned to Boston with a degree in architecture, no money, and a whole lot of free time. While searching for her first real job she began to mess around with some beads she found that were left over from high school.
The more she created, the more she realized her talent and eventually launched her own beaded jewelry company - FortyfourOranges.
Her childhood boxes of beads have grown and by the dozens, along with her imagination and creativity. From a craft designed to fill unemployed hours, Davis' business dubbed FourtyfourOranges in homage to her Syracuse roots has grown imensly.
Using all glass beads, Davis creates vibrant and colorful handmade beaded jewelry including - rings, neclaces, bracelets, and earrings.
I was able to test one of her rings and I absolutely love it. The fitting is adjustable to any finger size and I chose a black ring with various sizes of glass beads for a chunky look. It's a great size - large but lightweight. It attracts attention without being overly gawdy. I noticed that especially with the ring being black I was able to dress it up and dress it down seamlessly.
I highly recommend FourtyfourOranges Jewelry.
