Last night, on December 12, 2013, Courtney Stodden was a special guest at the World of Wonder Christmas Party. The party, attended by the who's who of the production studio and all the artistic virtuoso they could muster, made for a mighty holiday bash. The modern-day version of NYC's former Limelight club kid crowd gathered in the spirit of merrymaking at The Globe Theatre on Universal Studio's backlot in Hollywood.
In the hip crowd, convoked to witness the first-ever World of Wonder's WOWIE Awards presentation we found: Adam Lambert (American Idol), LaToya Jackson (Life with LaToya), Brian "Kato" Kaelin, Dr. Ava Cadell (Bravo's L.A. Shrinks), Krista Keller Stodden (VH1's Couples Therapy), Selene Luna (My Bloody Valentine), Michelle Visage (RuPaul's Drag Race), Detox (RuPaul's Drag Race), James St. James (Party Monster), DJ Chi Chi LaRue (Outspoken), and of course, newly "brunettified" celebutante Courtney Stodden (Celebrity Big Brother UK & VH1's Couples Therapy)!
After a colorful video message from RuPaul, the queen of World of Wonder, the First Annual WOWIE Awards were underway. The biggest award of the night arrived as James St. James and Michelle Visage stunned the crowd by presenting the inaugural WOWIE "Lifetime Achievement Award" to none other than Courtney Stodden!
The award announcement was:
"In your brief 19 years on this planet you have captured our attention, fueled our imagination, and stolen our hearts. We can't wait to see what you do next!"
The crowd gave it up as Courtney took to the stage to accept her award with joy and regalement. Celebrating the honor, Miss Stodden raised the award above her head and cheered for the cameras and the applause. Wearing her new chocolate-brown locks with a crimped and teased dramatic flair while dressed in a crimson-red mini-dress, which was glued to her body, Courtney popped eyeballs out all over the great hall!
"We love you Courtney!" was heard shouted throughout audience, as she exited the stage cradling her coveted WOWIE award.
After the awards, everyone danced the night away to the beats of delicious diva DJ Chi Chi LaRue! It was a "WOW-mazing" time had by all!
Thanks World of Wonder!
