Michigan heavy metal band Borrowed Time has released the track listing for its upcoming self-titled debut album, set to be released later this year by Germany’s High Roller Records. The track listing is as follows:

7. Pygmalion (J. Priest, V. Ruiz)
8. Transcendental Knavery (M. Preston)
9. A Titan 's Chain (V. Ruiz)
The band features vocalist J. Priest, guitarists Victor Ruiz and Matt Preston, and Mark Kuro on bass, with Sam Ceckowski on drums. Kuro and Ceckowski are lending their services to Borrowed Time while serving double duty in fellow Michigan metal bands Anguish and Demon Bitch, respectively.
The quintent first garnered recognition with the release of its 2010 demo, which caught the ears of Fenriz of Darkthrone, who featured Borrowed Time on his popular Band of the Week feature.
2011 saw the release of the band’s first EP, the Fog in the Valley 7”, while a split 7” with UK heavy metal band Wytch Hazel surfaced back in October, featuring the song “Black Olympia”, showing an ever increasing sophistication in songwriting.
Though 2012 saw only one new song released, it was nevertheless a highly productive year for the band, during which the bulk of their debut album was written. Additionally, they had an opportunity to play a number of shows, including one with the cult act Manilla Road, whom Borrowed Time covers with the song “Necropolis”.
Meanwhile, 2013 is shaping up to be even bigger, with the release of their debut pending and festival appearances at Ragnarokkr in Chicago and Keep It True in Germany on the docket.
While they are by no means a household name, do not be surprised if you hear the name Borrowed Time begin to surface in discussions about the best pure heavy metal acts going today.
