In order to present a decent sampling of the competition bikes on display, it was necessary to piece another article together for the accompanying slideshow.
The bikes you see represent an amazing and strong cross section of many of racing's most important motorcycles. Many of these did not win national championships and such, but you always saw them at the track on the weekends wherever you went. They were important for their sheer presence and for the number of people they enabled to participate in racing.
