Born of the Gods spoilers: Token-making scry cycle member from MTG-JP

See also

Born of the Gods rumor season is finally in full swing. With the glut of official spoilers on the mothership that began yesterday, it'll take some time to get through each of those cards - and even then, simultaneously, on third-party sites even outside of the United States, entirely other cards are being spoiled. Such is the case with MTG-JP, the most reliable spoiler source out of Japan, and its offering this time - an apparent green entry in the "slow-scry" instant rare cycle. In English, it is:

Fateful Intervention 2GGG

Instant (Rare)

Put two 3/3 green Centaur enchantment creature tokens onto the battlefield. If it's your turn, scry 2.

Six power at instant speed is a good deal for five mana, to say the least. Two beefy surprise blockers like these can turn a combat around entirely. But your next two draws could be more important for the rest of the game - which is why choreographing your move and playing this on your turn gives you the advantage of that all-important scry 2. It appears as if this cycle will be about pure value more than anything - apparently designed specifically to be high picks in Limited, but this one in particular may have some Constructed applications.

What do you think of this army-building instant? Let me know in the comments.
