Fans of the popular co-op shooter franchise can expect to continue to see content added to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel after launch. According to a report by Game Informer on Aug. 31, Gearbox Software announced during a PAX panel that a season pass bundle will be offered for this year’s new installment in the series that will give players access to four separate DLC add-ons at a discounted price.

Each of the four planed DLC packs for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will cost $9.99, but those who choose to pick up the game’s season pass will get their hands on all four for only $29.99. This means that season pass holders will effectively receive one add-on for free.

The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel season pass has been confirmed to bring a host of new content to the game included new missions, challenges, and characters. Fans of Borderlands 2 may be wondering if the new characters will also include new playable classes since the series’ previous entry added to additional characters to play ass. Unfortunately, no specific details about any of the DLC packs have been revealed at this point. It is also worth pointing out that neither of the added characters classes in Borderlands 2 were part of that game’s season pass.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel releases only on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC on Oct 14. The game takes place on the moon of Pandora and will bridge the gap between the franchise’s first two titles by showing fans how Handsome Jack become the corporate ruler of the bandit-filled planet.
