'Borderlands 2' video teases new character reveal for PAX East

Gearbox Software will be at PAX East later this month and will have a new Borderlands 2 character to introduce. The developer released a new teaser trailer Thursday to drop a hint at what to expect for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC shooter.

The title of the trailer is "Mayhem Approaches" which suggests that the new Vault Hunter's name or class name will be "Mayhem." The video also comes with the following description that accompanies the blood-soaked outline of the character smashing enemies: "Deep beneath Pandora an experiment has escaped. Bandits beware. A new Vault Hunter is coming."

The outline of the new Vault Hunter suggests a berserker-type melee class as it is large, muscular and does not appear to be carrying a weapon of any kind.

Gearbox Software will be hosting a panel at PAX East on Sunday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. EST where it will reveal the new playable character. The developer promises "never before seen reveals, huge exclusives and massive surprises!"
