Gearbox Software announced yesterday that the upcoming “Borderlands 2” level-cap increase and the game’s sixth playable character class will be discussed in greater detail during a PAX East Panel later this month. The developer recently teased the new Vault Hunter during a reveal at SXSW. Gearbox Software has also now released the next playable character’s teaser video to the general gaming public.
Randy Pitchford revealed last month that the developer had begun work on both a level-cap increase for the game as well as a sixth playable character class to be added to “Borderlands 2.” This will be the second character class to be added to the game by way of DLC.
“Borderlands 2” is out now for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac. The game has one more DLC pack to go before finishing out its Season Pass campaign content. Any add-on that adds additional player characters or increases the game’s current level-cap will come as an outside download to the Season Pass.
