‘Borderlands 2’ developer hints at PS4 and Xbox 720 plans (Photos)

Randy Pitchford may have hinted at his studio’s plans for the PS4 and Xbox 720. In an interview with GamesIndustry International that was published on March 1, the CEO of Gearbox Software was asked if they are currently working on the next-generation systems. He responded by saying that they are “just getting started” with the momentum they got from working on “Aliens: Colonial Marines” and “Borderlands 2.” By applying the momentum to “new promises and new angles” in development, Randy Pitchford can see ahead four or five years from now. You can check out some images of the camera, controller and menus for the PS4 in the slideshow at the top of this article.

The next-generation era will begin this holiday season with the arrival of the PS4 and Xbox 720. Sony announced their new console on Feb. 20. Microsoft is also expected to hold an event for the Xbox 720 on April 26.
