'Borderlands 2' compatibility pack causing problems on Xbox 360 (Photos)

A download for "Borderlands 2" on the Xbox 360 that makes the game compatible with the newly released "Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt" download is causing problems for some Xbox 360 owners. Gearbox Software announced Tuesday that it is working on the issue with Microsoft.

The issue with the "Borderlands 2" Compatibility Pack began Monday when Xbox 360 users began reporting that the download for the DLC would start but never complete or give an error message that reads, "Compatibility Pack cannot be downloaded at this time." As a result, those affected have been unable to play with others online.

"We're aware that some players on Xbox 360 may receive an [sic] download error when trying to obtain the latest Compatibility Pack and are working with Microsoft to get addressed ASAP," a Gearbox representative wrote on the "Borderlands" Facebook page. "[W]e'll post here once we have more details on the resolution.

"In addition, we'll be extending Monday's Gear Up event and will be sharing more specifics on that once the above is resolved."

Update: Gearbox suggests trying the following solution for those experiencing issues with the compatibility pack.
