Today marks the start of Gearbox Software's "Borderlands 2" Great Loot Hunt, announced online earlier this month. Players of the game can log on to Borderlands2LootHunt.com to sign up for the sweepstakes and take their chances at winning prizes valued at $100,000. Each day until November 7, Gearbox will set Daily Targets in-game for completion by those who opt in to the Loot Hunt. Similar to missions in the game, these targets come with their own rewards, but completing them also enters the player into a weekly prize drawing and one entry into the $50,000 cash grand prize. Weekly prizes are tiered from $5,000 to $20,000 cash, but there are other items up for grabs including: a PlayStation Vitas with a copies of "Borderlands 2," exclusive "Borderlands 2" headsets by Turtle Beach, a Nvidia Shield with a Falcon Northwest Tiki PC, Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti GFX cards, "Borderlands 2" Game of the Year Edition Strategy Guides by BradyGames, and lifetime supplies of all 2K Games titles via Steam (even future games).
After you’ve acquired the game, head on over to http://www.borderlands2loothunt.com and log in with your SHiFT account information (please note, Xbox 360 players must be Xbox Live gold members for SHiFT). If you haven't created a SHiFT account, please do so here. Once logged in with your SHiFT account on our sweepstakes website, you will see a pop up asking you if you'd like to register for the Borderlands 2 Loot Hunt. Sorry, but this sweepstakes is open to US loot hunters only. However, international fans can participate in the Daily Targets and Community Goals to receive the same in-game items as everyone else.
