Please join us at these Borderbend programs throughout the spring -- •Chicago Heroes & Arts Journeys, our arts workshop series at Mozart Park, happens on Monday evenings. Gwendolyn Brooks, Fred Anderson, Jane Addams, Sun Ra, Lil Hardin Armstrong, and Jens Jensen are some of the individuals whose work and legacies have been the focus of recent workshops. Workshop participants have created music, poetry, visual art, and multidisciplinary artworks as well. Free and open to the public.
•Tonight at Noon: Celebrating Charles Mingus' Life & Legacy happens at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts (Friday, April 4th). Music, poetry and visual art will be part of this exciting program that pays tribute to that American genius.
