Boozer to return tonight vs. Clippers

After sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a sore left calf, Carlos Boozer will return to the starting lineup for the Chicago Bulls as they go for their fourth straight win and 10th in their last 12.

Kirk Hinrich remains out with a strained right hamstring and D.J. Augustin will get his second straight start after scoring 27 in Wednesday’s win.

The Bulls suffered their worst loss of the season at the hands of the Clippers back on Nov. 24, a 121-82 blowout. The loss came a full day after Derrick Rose suffered a season-ending torn right medial meniscus. The Clippers will be without Chris Paul, who is still weeks away because of a separated right shoulder.

The Clippers have won eight of their last 11 but are coming off a loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday.

The Bulls will have their hands full trying to slow down the Clippers, who are averaging 105.4 points per game, fifth best in the league.

"They can push the ball," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters after Friday morning’s shootaround. "(Blake) Griffin is a load inside and (DeAndre) Jordan is one of those guys that if you're not paying attention, he's really going to hurt you with the second shot and lobs."
