Carlos Boozer sat out Friday afternoon’s practice with a sore right knee and will be a game-time decision for Friday’s home game vs. the Atlanta Hawks.
Taj Gibson participated in most of practice but was also rested after falling on his right arm after taking a flagrant foul from Boston’s Jared Sullinger in Thursday night’s Bulls win. He is expected to play on Saturday along with Deng, who is still on a minutes limit since returning to the lineup a game ago after missing the previous five with a lingering sore left Achilles.
Boozer is one of only three Bulls to play all 31 games this season. He has been the team’s most durable player in the past three seasons, only missing three games last season and playing in all 66 games during the lockout shortened 2011-12 season.
He missed the first 15 games of his debut season with the team during the 2010-11 season because of a broken hand. and a total of 23 games in all during that campaign. In total he has played in 235 of 261 games during his Bulls tenure.
Boozer is averaging 14.7 points and 8.6 rebounds this season.
