The movie Boomerang was a fun loving love story about a man who looked for the superficial things in women versus the foundation that a good woman provides. It reminds me of something my Grandmothers use to say "All that Glitters Ain't Gold". The movie was an illustration of the Australian toy. Whenever you throw the boomerang, it comes right back. Have you ever thrown a boomerang?
The biggest boomerang God has used is Peter. God used Peter as bait to get closer to Jesus. Jesus knew the circumstance of his relationship with Peter. He knew Peter would deny him and even doubt his faith. But he always found himself back in God's Graces.
There comes a moment in our lives when we will experience a boomerang love affair with God. Sometimes we stray away from him without chronical knowledge of our absence. Sometimes we get caught up in life's circumstance and promise one day to return back to him.
The reason I say his love is like a boomerang is because he allows these things to happen. He is not a lukewarm person. He doesn't love in and out of season. God's love is unconditional. He knows just when you will need him the most. It's amazing how we treat him like a boomerang and yet when we return back to him. He still loves us despite it all. How many of you are living a boomerang love affair with God? Now is the time to come back home. God is there with open arms waiting on you.
