UPDATE
It's official. Boomer IS the largest living dog. The news came in from the folks at Guinness World Records. The previous owner of the record was a Great Dane named Gibson who died earlier this year. Gibson was owned by Sandy Hall of Grass Valley, CA.
Now it's Boomer's turn to shine in the public spotlight.

Prior post:
Boomer's owner thinks he may very well be the largest living dog. He's 7-ft when measured from nose to tail and 36 inches, yep that's three feet, at the shoulder. How much does a dog that size weigh? How does 180 pounds sound to you? All dogs are lap dogs in my house, even my 60-pound Springer Spaniels, but Boomer might finally be too much dog for my lap.
Caryn Weber of Casselton, SD appears happy enough to simply pose along side her baby, the Landseer Newfoundland with the hearty appetite. In fact, he can polish off a 20 pound bag of dry dog food in a couple of weeks.
A dog this size also requires a lot of water. It's probably best to let him help himself at the sink.

Hi there Hay, or should I say Hey Hay,
Boomer's owner is submitting his information to Guinness world records. If your dog is bigger, you should make your own submission. Is you do taller than three feet at the shoulder or longer than seven feet from nose to tail? If so, that's a mighty big dog you have there!
