The Open Center has moved to 22 East 30th Street between 5th and Madison. Also, EastWest Books is in the midst of going out of business.
I am afraid the Bookstore Lover's info is incorrect. East West Books is NOT in the midst of going out of business and we encourage you to check our website for all of our upcoming events and sign up for our eblast which features all of our new arrivals. Our sales pro's offer their expertise in many areas such as Buddhism, martial arts, crystal healing, aromatherapy and yoga. We hope we will see you soon!
Update:
East West Books has closed their doors.
But just a couple stores down a new esoteric bookshop has opened called Namaste Bookshop.
They have a huge selection of books and gifts, including crystals, incense,
and even have all types of readings and book signings held in the store.
Great to have a esoteric bookshop back in the Union Square area.
