The County of Los Angeles Public Library is having a Bookmark Contest. The contest is in now in motion until October 19. Each region within the County of Los Angeles will collect all entries within their community; there will be a grand prize winner. The County of Los Angeles Public Library has been holding annual bookmark contest for the past 34 years. This contest will make evident the talent, creativity and imagination of many young and older children throughout the Los Angeles county. Various libraries will have entry forms with specific instructions for all.
Each year the bookmark contest will have a particular theme. This year’s theme is “Read, Seek, Explore!” For mothers who live in the Lancaster area, make a visit to the Lancaster Regional Library and stop by the Children’s section. Call or email for more information regarding the contest.

Various ages must compete within the appropriate categories.
Kindergarten - Grade 2
Grades 3 -5
Guidelines for Contest
Designs must be about books or reading, using dark blue or black ink.
Original work of the artist will be accepted only
Creativity, Originality and Neatness will be judged
No cartoon characters, colors or pencil drawings
Artist must be between the ages of 5-18 years old
Artist must live in the Los Angeles County
One entry per person
Entries become property of the County Library
