When setting out to decorate the abode there are furnishings that are pretty straight forward and typical. The bedroom most likely has a bed, night stable, and dresser. Living rooms obviously have sitting areas and an office definitely has a desk. Even though there are the decor staples to look for when shopping for furnishings you can find artful twists on the norm.
No matter what room you are looking to decorate, every room in the abode requires some sort of storage piece.
- The office requires storage for files, papers, and books.
- Bedrooms need clothes storage.
- The living rooms and dining rooms have items to be placed on display.
- Family rooms must have room to store media, and often games, craft and homework supplies.
Bookcases are versatile and can be used for more than just books
- A bookcase can hold sweaters neatly in the bedroom.
- Keep towels on a small bookcase in a bathroom.
- Use an attractive bookcase as a curio for the display pieces in the living room and dining room.
Bookcases can be artistic and fun and beyond the standard cabinetry of stacked shelves
Fakturadesign.com has cool bookcases that break through the boundaries of ordinary.
SCALA bookcase; "Standing tall with 8 open shelves, there’s no need for bookends with the Scala Bookcase. Each shelf functions as a book support for the next in this creative piece. Each shelf will support up to 50 lb. (far greater than total weight of books it can fit)."
TWIG book shelf; "Resembling the natural outline of a branch, the Twig bookcase provides plenty of room for your favorite classics."
V bookcase; "Gravity and a one-of-a-kind angled design work in your favor to store stacks of books in an up-to-date fashion."
Stay organized and neat to promote a lovely living environment.
Pick the stuff up off the floors, and counter and tabletops and store everything neatly on a shelf.
Think outside of the ordinary bookcase box. Make a bookcase part of the display. Use the furniture more than just being of functional value. Let it be part of an artistic statement.
Put a new angle on life and never be afraid to dance!
