According to a definition by U.S. Department of Health & Human Services/ National Institutes of Health/http://nccam.nih.gov/health/reiki/introduction.htm
Reiki is a complementary health approach in which practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above a person, with the goal of facilitating the person’s own healing response.
But for those of us of the spiritual bent, it is also a spiritual practice, which works with the divine energies within us.
This evening, at Crazy Wisdom Tea Room in Ann Arbor, MI, Brett Bevell will be appearing to sign his book, "New Reiki Software For Divine Living", and conduct a group healing. The event is free, begins at 7:00 P.M., and is open to all. No previous training in Reiki is required.
Brett Brett has taught at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies http://www.eomega.org/ in Rhinebeck, NY and at The Sanctuary in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
