Book review: The Treasure of Snake Island by Carloe P. Roman

See also

The Treasure of Snake Island is part of the Captain No Beard series of picture books about a kid imagining he is a pirate and going on various adventures with his crew. In this book, the crew deals with stormy weather before going on a treasure hunt.

This is a fun pirate themed story for ages 3 to 7, especially if they are already fans of Captain No Beard. This book also serves as a great way to increase their interest in reading, as the treasure ends up being books and the plot includes explaining about how there are books about everything and picking one based on your interests.

Overall The Treasure of Snake Island is my favorite Captain No Beard book so far. For one, the plot is entertaining with a message that encourages reading. Additionally, the illustrations are fun with them showing various emotions from freaking out about the storm and snakes to the joy of finding the treasure.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free to review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
