“Self Fulfilled” is the third book in the Thoughtless series by Gregory Nicholas Malouf. This series is designed to offer the reader ways to free themselves from negative emotions like unhappiness and loneliness. It is composed of twelve easy to read and follow books that anyone can use to better themselves.
In the first book “Shallow Love” Malouf defines shallow love as the attachment to someone or something that people develop in an effort to fill the void in their lives. In “Tunnel Vision” he expands on this idea by explaining how a limited view in life can affect everyday interactions.
Now in “Self Fulfilled” he is out to help readers find peace and contentment in their lives which will lead to the ultimate goal of self fulfillment. When people are self fulfilled they are at one with life and each other and this is what begins to give their life meaning.
According to the author before any of that occurs there are two great myths that people must overcome. The first is “We Need to Be Perfect” and the second is “We Are Separate from Each Other.” Once people learn to see themselves as imperfect they will accept others as imperfect as well and that is the beginning of peaceful thoughts. Peaceful thoughts make it easier to forgive others and forgiveness can lead to eventual self fulfillment.
There is so much good advice in this little book that makes it easier for readers to make positive changes in their lives. One of the hardest is to accept everything that happens without judgment in the hopes that a beneficial lesson will be learned from it in the long run. As with the previous books Malouf shares his personal stories and the lessons he had to learn the hard way.
“We must learn to take control of our reality. After all, the only thing we can control is our reality. It is the path to Self-Fulfillment.”
