Books can be a valuable resource for anyone serious about losing weight and getting in shape. Tom Venuto recently released a revised version of his popular fitness and nutrition book “Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle” and it’s full of valuable information to help readers who want to lose weight, build muscle or just look more toned.

In “Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle: Transform Your Body Forever Using the Secrets of the Leanest People in the World” Tom Venuto explains the four elements of his plan: nutrition, cardio training, weight training and mental training. This is not about becoming a bodybuilder but instead it’s about helping people achieve their own personal goals by using bodybuilders’ secrets.

He starts off in the Preface by sharing his personal story and how he became a bodybuilder. The rest of the book is divided into two parts: ‘Philosophy’ and ‘The L.E.A.N Plan of Action’. Part 1 is about explaining why conventional diets don’t work and customizing a plan by understanding body types. Part 2 details his L.E.A.N plan of action that includes:

  • Learn: Mental Training (The 1st Element)
  • Eat: Nutrition (The 2nd Element)
  • Activate: Cardio Training (The 3rd Element)
  • New Body: Weight Training (The 4th Element)

“Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle” by Tom Venuto has been called the “fitness bible” because it is an extremely detailed reference guide for nutrition and exercise. Even if the average person doesn’t follow the plan to the letter there is still plenty of useful information. The appendix itself includes a goal-reaching worksheet, calorie reference guides and other reference charts all designed to help people reach their individual weight loss goals.
