Book Lovers: Manila’s “LOL: Lit Out Loud” will feature Vikas Swarup among others

Many in the literature community, writers and readers alike, will be converging on the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati Cityon November 18th to 20th for LOL: Literature Out Loud.

The event hosted by the National Book Development Board (NBDB), will feature local and international writers, publishers and literature teachers to create a dialogue about reading and literature. The event is held in celebration of the 14th Philippine Book Development Month.

The writers that will be in attendance include Q&A  novelist, Vikas Swarup, who’s book was adapted into the Oscar-winning film, Slumdog Millionaire. The event will also include a showing of Slumdog Millionaire plus book signings.

In addition to Swarup, the line-up will include children’s book writer, Christopher Cheng, Trash writer Andy Mulligan, and F-Word writer Mita Kapur.

The short list of local and National writers that will attending the event include; Virgilio Almario and Bienvenido Lumbera, Cristina Pantoja Hidalgo, Gemino Abad, Alfred Yuson and Resil Morales.
