Looking for something to do this weekend, especially one that promises snow? Well, the Brighton and Chili branches of the Monroe County library system are hosting great book sales this weekend. Both sales began on Thursday and promise great deals for those who come and take a look. Both events are being offered through their respective sponsor groups, called "Friends". Proceeds from these sales are used to support the library.
The Brighton Memorial Library book sale is held in their Learning Center and is open to the public from the 10th to the 13th with varying hours. Tomorrow, the 11th, the sale runs from 10am until 3:30pm. On Sunday, February 12, the hours are quite short with the sale being open only from 1pm until 3:30pm, but everything is half price that day. Monday, February 13, hours are 10am to 1pm and you can fill an entire bag full of books for only three dollars! It looks like there may be an entrance fee for five dollars, but with prices boasted to be only fifty-cents to a dollar, who can pass up such a great opportunity to freshen up their personal library or find the book they have always been searching for.
The Chili Friends Winter Book Sale is only open for one more day. So, if you live in that area and are needing something to read, get yourself over to the library between the hours of 10am to 2pm and indulge in filling a bag full of books for only three dollars.
If you are unsure about going, there are many reasons why a book sale can be a great experience and you should definitely attend one to figure out what makes it a favorite event for you. Remember that the hours are slim and there are not many days left to partake in this fabulous sale, so grab a bag, some cash, and get yourself to the library. The prices promise to make it worth your while. And whenever you do find something fabulous, here's wishing you a happy reading!
