On Sunday evening, Lady Gaga made her first full concert appearance since supposedly having hip surgery and it wasn't the comeback she quite expected. Before the show, many people booed because she was late. During the show, many people booed because she was, as one fan described, higher than a kite in Heaven.
Apparently, Lady Gaga only appreciates her fans if they cheer for her. Several festival attendees on Twitter have complained about being kicked out of the show for booing. However, most of the tweeters seem happy about being kicked out rather than upset at missing Lady Gaga. One fan says that even though he loves Lady Gaga, he doesn't want to observe her downfall in person.
Lady Gaga is certainly ruffling a lot of feathers recently. In order to boost "Applause" on the charts, she had her fans download as many as 800 copies each. She also encouraged fans to play "Applause" over several times on YouTube so she can increase her chart chances. It appears that Billboard's editorial director Bill Werde isn't going to stop her anytime soon. Did you watch Gaga's iTunes Festival performance? What were your impressions?
