Not even two years old, ( launched in June of 2010) the site quickly grew it's product base probably in large part due it's no listing fee policy.

If you ask the team at Ranger Data, (the parent company of boocoo) what makes the site stand out against other eBay alternatives, they'll tout the live chat support which includes live help uploading bulk listings, and it's unique partnership with print publications for ad space.

The top five most populated categories on boocoo are:

  1. Computers
  2. Home & Home Decor
  3. Jewelry & Watches
  4. Health and Beauty
  5. Clothing, Shoes & Accessories

Among other announcements boocoo has made recently are:

On February 1st the site opens it's doors in Canada.

It recently made the Powersellers Unite, count list. Not only did it make the list, but it debuted here at #5, surpassing 11 competitors who've been on the list for several more years than boocoo.

It's been included in the eCommerceBytes Seller's Choice Awards

In a online world that has chewed up and spit out eBay competitors at a furious rate, one thing is for sure, although certainly no eBay, does't seem to be going away anytime soon. And that along with increasing it's volume of listings are perhaps the most important keys to survival.
