The Kansas City Zoo is promoting 'Boo At The Zoo' on Saturday October 19th and Sunday, October 20th from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Traditionally, in America, Halloween has been a holiday for children. This year, it is estimated that the number of potential trick or treaters, ages 5 to 14, to be 41 million. As a Children's Pastor, I felt it was my responsibility to invite the community into the church...not only to share a night of fun and fright, but, to allow the kids to enjoy Halloween in a safe, controlled environment.
Parents, we need to educate our children on the origin and traditions of the holiday and allow them to ask questions. More importantly, be prepared to answer any questions your children have. Halloween is what we make it!
Come show off those creative costumes and celebrate Halloween at Boo at the Zoo!
The Kansas City Zoo will be decorated in spooky (not scary, for the little ones) decorations and will be full of entertainment and activities including pedal tractor rides, spooky crafts, and hayrides through the Zoo. You can also paint on their monster mural, explore the boneyard graveyard, or get a tattoo at the Tatzoo Parlor.
Little ones can trick-or-treat at stations located throughout the Zoo. Again, 'Boo at the Zoo' will be on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 from 9:30 am-5 pm.
