Wow. what a night and it's not over yet. We are talking about the Bonnies Rocks reunion at Savoy, in Pennsauken NJ. It's an evening of blistering rock that is not fit for youngsters. Where else can you see great bands like Rough Dymond, The Bloody Stools, Krank, Whitefoxx reunite for a set of their old hits all in one night. The headliner last night was The Dead End Kids. May 16 2014 was the kick off and it goes until 2: a.m. tonight, May 17.

This was not an evening for the young club goers of today. Oh, they were welcome and a lot of them showed up. They were amazed at what bands like Knight Train could do. To imagine going to clubs like Bonnies,or the Empire or Galaxy to see these bands was almost taking a trip back in time. With a show like this, promoter Mike Bullwinkle is having bands play short sets, with a brief 10 minute change over in between bands. That way every band gets to play.

Yes, some time slots are more desirable than others. The event starts at 7;00 p.m.and does not end until 2:00 in the morning. Some one has to go on at 7:00 and someone has to go on at 1:30 am. Still a lot of the younger crowd in their 20's and 30's could not take being out so late and left. By 1:30 the hard core fans were there to watch Pete MacGregor and Rough Dymond.

The best part about shows like this, are the surprises. Last night, there were a few of them, with special guest John Corabi doing an acoustic set them a few numbers with Get the Led Out, a Zeppelin tribute band. With the chances of a dog and cat being elected to the White House greater than a Led Zeppelin reunion, this is as close as many rock fans will get. This was an impromptu performance, and was not on the bill.

What's happening tonight? It's a guarantee that White Foxx will take you to Beverly Hills, the Dead End Kids will play again. "We have different stuff we are going to pull out of the hat" said Bill Mattson, front man for the band. Tickets are available here..Or you can buy them at the door. Last on the bill are the Bloody Stools. Maybe it's a good thing cause the younger crowd just can't handle something as wild as this band. Don't believe me? Show up and see how much trouble these guys cause on stage before the cops come. Or stay home, and read about it here and wish you were there.
