Bonnie Raitt's show, from Aug. 25, 1973 at Lenox Music Inn in Lenox, MA., available today through Friday, was recorded around the time of the release of her third album, “Takin' My Time” and more than a decade before her Grammy Awards sweep in 1990 when she won four Grammies, including Album of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the critically acclaimed “Nick of Time” album, which included the stunning “Thing Called Love.” (She also won Best Traditional Blues Recording that year for “I'm in the Mood,” her duet with John Lee Hooker on his album, “The Healer.”) This show includes the songs “Special Delivery Blues,” “Give It Up or Let Me Go,” “Rollin' and Tumblin'” and an intense slow blues cover of the Rollng Stones' “Spider and the Fly.”
The Big Country show, from Aug. 26, 1986 at Tower Theater in Philadelphia and available Saturday through Aug. 27, was originally recorded for the King Biscuit Flower Hour. Songs include “In a Big Country,” and covers of the Rolling Stones' “Honky Tonk Woman” and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles' “Tracks of My Tears.”
