Bonnie Hunt probes Jason and Molly about their Bachelor backstory

Friday morning, June 12, talk show host Bonnie Hunt asked the tough questions.

Her guests?

Jason Mesnick and girlfriend Molly Malaney from last season's The Bachelor.

One of his biggest regrets, Jason said, was breaking up with Melissa Rycroft on the air. Though he felt the pressure of the show's producers to give closure to their engagement on air (after he sent Molly home and gave Melissa the final rose), he said he and Melissa were already broken up by the time the filming began, but he still takes full responsibility for his actions.

Bonnie Hunt suggests that, out of respect for Melissa, Jason could have still appeared on the show with her and they could have announced together that their relationship was over, instead of him immediately bringing up the conflict and asking Molly if she'd consider taking him back, in the same televised program.

Bonnie also brings up the much-talked about "hot tub scene" Jason shared with current Bachelorette Jillian Harris.
