Bonnie Franklin, best known for her role on “One Day at a Time,” passed away March 1. According to a report by TMZ on March 1, she died due to pancreatic cancer.
Bonnie Franklin announced she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the fall of 2012. It is unknown how long she had been dealing with pancreatic cancer before she made the announcement.
“I remember watching her as a kid,” Samantha Tynes, from Moore, said. “She was a very funny lady. I was raised by single mom so I could relate to the show. I am very sad. I really enjoyed her work.”
Bonnie Franklin starred as Ann Romano on “One Day at a Time” from 1975-1984. Both Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli starred with her.
Bonnie Franklin had no children. She had been married to Ronald Sossi from 1967 to 1970. Her second husband, Marvin Minoff, passed away in 2009.
