After months of speculation and weeks of maddeningly difficult lineup clues, the Bonnaroo 2012 lineup is nearly upon us. Today Social Music app Spotify announced a partnership with Bonnaroo to announce the 2012 lineup on Valentine's Day.
Spotify will be the first to unveil the Bonnaroo 2012 lineup with an exclusive playlist on Bonnaroo's official Spotify profile. So far, neither Bonnaroo nor Spotify has announced the time of this playlist's publication. Nor have they announced if the entire playlist will be released all at once or if this will be a "slow release" as in 2010 where a band was released once every five minutes.
Along with the lineup release, Spotify is also offering two VIP passes to Bonnaroo 2012 to one Twitter follower who retweets this status update.
Bonnaroo 2012 will take place June 7-10, 2012 in Manchester, Tennessee. While no artists have been officially confirmed by festival organizers,some bands anticipated to be there through either solved clues, dropped hints, or self-confirmation include Phish, Tune-Yards, Battles, The Civil Wars, Fruit Bats, Mogwai, and Flogging Molly.
Spotify is a social media app that allows users to create custom playlists from a database of hundreds of thousands of songs and share it with their friends via Facebook and Twitter.
